Innovation Challenge

Course Description:

Students in this class will explore management best practices of innovation through technology grounded in the evolution of information systems as well as new, trending, emerging, and disruptive technologies. The course will examine information systems common in organizations, businesses, and society. Particular focus will be on preparing students to use critical thinking skills to analyze and solve problems and find opportunities. This will be done through hands on active learning projects to create innovation and impacts through application of enabling technologies and management implementation methods. Examples of management methods used include rapid prototyping web/social media applications, conceptual designs of apps, and basic coding of small computers such as Raspberry Pi’s/Arduinos.

My Experience:

Throughout the year the class has been great. Its very interesting and technologically savvy.  Almost every single day there was some sort of hands on activity that would happen. There are two different parts of the class, the technology side and then the innovation side.
